Great Podcast!!
I am a huge true crime fan and I am also very picky when it comes to podcasts! As many of the same stories get covered by almost all true crime podcasters, I really enjoy listening to Olivia and John’s storytelling. I love how you both stick to pertinent information and not try to “fluff” your show to make it longer and drawn out! Keep up the great work and know that you have a listener here on Hawaii Island. Awesome podcast!!
I just started listening to your podcast and I am hooked. I’ve been taking walks at night and I started listening to the Bad Friends episode after I saw the post on Olivia’s Instagram. I am a true crime junkie and I am officially a new fan of Olivia and John!! Thank you so much!! You guys rock!!

Highly Recommended Podcast for True Crime Lovers!
I've listened to several true crime podcasts, and while I have enjoyed some of them, I find myself fast forwarding a bunch of them until they finally get to the point!
I love being able to listen to Check the Locks while cleaning the house or on a drive. The podcast is perfect, because it's informative, to the point, AND we get to hear snippets of John and Olivia's life without it taking up more time than the crime covered!
John and Olivia have a great rapport, and are pleasant to listen to. I love how they encourage listeners to participate with the Podcasters, and that the show now has fun swag!!
Anyone interested in true crime should listen to Check the Locks!

I’ve known Olivia for awhile and never knew this side of her! I absolutely LOVE the balance of personal updates with the stories. One thing that stands out so much for this podcast over others is that they give so much love and detail for the victims. It’s a kind way to honor them. Now I can’t wait for Mondays and Wednesdays and I’d love to have even more episodes!

I am such a huge true crime fan and I was so excited to find out Olivia from MAFS was doing a true crime podcast! You guys do such a great job with telling the stories and making them interesting but still being respectful of the victims. Keep up the GREAT work!

Thrilling
I am a documentary junkie. And normally just watch TV series! I came across your podcast in an ad. And decided to listen on my road trip from Colorado to Montana! I listened and could not stop listening to all the episodes. The 10 hours flew by and I realized I needed to turn off my car and was a little sad about it. I have since listened to your podcast on the way to the grocery store, while I’m cleaning, and on my way to work! By far better than any doc-u series, I’ve watched on television thus far. I am captivated by your voices and the true crime stories you pick. You have a loyal follower and I truly hope you continue to make episodes. Thank you!

GREAT Podcast!!!
I love this Podcast! John and Olivia have such a great relationship. I look forward to Monday’s and Wednesday’s so much as you guys give such good stories and mist I have never heard of and o definitely “check my locks” a lot more now. Please continue doing what you do as it remains my top true crime Podcast! Love that you guys are not monotone!! ❤️

Best True Crime Pod
I love the podcast! My wife and I listen to it on our way up north to see my parents. It’s very entertaining to listen to, and John & Olivia have a great chemistry with one another! The cases they choose are very interesting and intriguing. I like the small glimpses into their lives. Gives it a personal touch. Awesome Podcast guys!! Keep up the great work!!

Big fan
I’ve been a huge fan of Check the Locks since I googled the Mafs updates and found out Olivia had a podcast. Now I’m hooked and love the podcast chemistry between John and Olivia and love the way the episodes are delivered. Congratulations on 700 members in the Facebook group. Absolutely LOVE this show!
I listen to a lot of podcasts and I’m always trying to find new ones but I give up on most of them after a couple of episodes. But Check The Locks is one that I’m always excited to listen to and I eagerly wait for the next episode. Keep ‘‘em coming and thank you for keeping me entertained on long drives and workouts!

Fan with a Plan ( suggested case doesn't rhyme )
Hello John and Olivia ! Love the show and listen to it when I am working ! I tried to find where to call and leave a fabulous voice mail for you Olivia but I could not find it! I wanted to recommend a case about a nurse who was living in Delaware ( where I also live and work as a nurse ) . She wrote a book called Shattered that I read years ago . Her name is Debra P Sharp and she endured an attack , rape and abduction from her own home ( did NOT check the locks ). She spent time in the abductors home - hogtied . There is a lot to this one and it surely scared me into locking up tightly ! Hope you enjoy it as well. Take care !

Podcast skeptic now hooked!
A lot of shows have too much bantering back and forth before getting into the meat of the show. John and Olivia do a great job and their love for true crime shows in the effort they put in for with their research to really hook you from the beginning. I recently discovered this podcast and have found it be very fascinating! I always look forward to the next episode!

Favorite Podcast!
This is my favorite podcast! Every Monday and Wednesday on my way to work, I listen. I discovers this podcast when I heard Olivia from MAFS had one, I was like I have to check it out. So glad that I did. John and Olivia work so well together, and I love how they care so much about their listeners. Keep up the great work!

True crime fanatic
I love this podcast, I enjoy that john and olivia cover new stories that are not well known. Refreshing to not hear the same stories over again. I can really relate to the deadbolt test. Everyone should listen to check the deadbolt

Decision Day
Blindly I found this podcast. I listened to the first podcast and I was definitely interested in continuing to listen to more. Then the next. I found myself binge listening! Is this really a podcast I want to continue to listen to or find another show! Episode after episode, I found myself getting my hooked! So it’s now Decision day. Do I want to continue to listen to “Check the Locks” or find another show? After thinking about all of the episodes and how they were scary, but very intriguing, my decision is to….

Anticipate the new episode weekly!
I found this podcast when they first started as I was looking for another true crime podcast to add to my rotation. Since episode one I was hooked. Their personalities and banter are awesome. They way both of them tell the stories keeps my attention. I also love the deadbolt check at the end.
Definitely recommend this to all my other true crime friends.

Can’t get enough!
I love this podcast - the episodes are well researched and written but they come off like a normal conversation between the hosts that you’re also invited to join. The stories flow well and don’t get bogged down with a ton of unnecessary chatter (just enough to make you feel like you know John and Olivia) or all of the little details in the case that can get overwhelming and confusing. With a lot of other true crime podcasts, I find myself tuning out about halfway through an episode, but that’s not the case with Check the Locks. Love the Facebook group too! Keep it up y’all, you’ve got a winner here. 🥇

Favorite podcast
I have really enjoyed this podcast. It has quickly grown to the top of my list for true crime. I have not listened to all of the shows yet but I am looking forward to hearing more about the not so common stories. Thank you both for hosting such a great show!!!

One of my faves
This has become one of my favorite podcasts and I get so excited when a new episode drops. I love how the hosts have actual conversations and it doesn’t sound scripted. ❤️❤️ and thank you for adding the short on time episodes! I share this as much as I can. Please keep up the great work!
